Since its discovery the several decades ago, many different studies have been carried out, which allowed to learn about its structure, biosynthesis process and operation. The emergence of different varieties of this factor confirms that it performs many important and different functions. Platelet growth factor is still a factor that is discussed in subsequent scientific research, which is a source of new, valuable and sometimes surprising information.
