TSH is consisting of two subunits produced by the anterior pituitary gland. The primary target site of TSH action is the thyroid gland. These hormones affect the entire body, especially by affecting the body’s metabolism, but also affect the functions of entire systems such as the cardiovascular system. Primary thyroid disease refers to problems arising from the thyroid gland itself. A problem with the thyroid gland may appear in the form of an overactive or underactive thyroid gland. The thyroid stimulating hormone is therefore a factor necessary to maintain homeostasis in the body. Keywords: thyroid stimulating hormone, (TSH), subacute thyroiditis (SAT), triiodothyronine (T3), follicle stimulating hormone (FSH)ReferencesCarty D.
